With 30 F. , I believe hand warmers are more a mental comfort. If oxford had a face warmer I might bite! Ps You can find the sweet spot when cutting the mud guard. Too far and you have a "skunk stripe"
Respectfully disagree.
I ride throughout the whole year and in the winter, morning temperature when I go to work is usually 23 - 32 F.
There is a dozen days when temps go to 18F, the lowest I have seen and was driving at was 12F.
When the temperature is below 46 F, I have grave issues with my hands. I have tried many things, several layers of gloves etc, nothing helps except heated handgrips. I've had two types on my Beverly 200, now there is one set on Agility and I have Oxford wraps on my People 250S, just like the ones shown on the picture above.
When temps approach freezing, after several kilometeres the blood flow in my fingers is so restricted that I can feel only pain. In 20 kms I had to stop several times to let the blood go back to fingers and I have experienced severe pain, bordering frostbites...
With heated handgrips, regardless of the temperature, I experience no ill effects, and my gf for example has warm palms after riding a scooter in the winter (but she does not have issues with blood flow like I do).
So, I'd recommend them as they greatly increase the riding comfort in the winter.
