That was a good one... Have you checked the bulbs? One out makes a difference.

Was hoping that someone here could tell me if this is typical or maybe something wrong.

little disappointed - over 100 views and no one could take the time to tell me that their scooter is the same or different?  maybe I didn't ask properly.  If you have a current model ps250 does your mph light up at night with the lights on, and/or gas gauge needle visible or not at night.

Thanks,

The fact that the mph section of the speedo is not illuminated is one of my biggest complaints about my Kymco. I don't remember the fuel gauge not being properly illuminated.

Mine's completely different, as it is a People 250, not an S 250.

I'd still suggest to open it up and take a look. A little hands on will only help. I really don't believe Kymco would leave an obvious "hazard".

I am an ask others first kind of mechanic.  So...I think I have my speedometer question answered from above.  The fuel gauge - the outer perimeter lights up (the amounts), but I can't see the indicator needle.  I emailed the usakymco guy and he hasn't answered - he is away a lot.

I have a 2009 S250. I know that my mph does not light up, the km/hr does. Not sure about the fuel guage... I wish I could tell you. I'm in Maine and I have had to put the bike away for the winter. Can't wait for spring!

Perhaps a phone call? I have tried to email Kevin (Kymco usa) a few times. I called the dealer local to me and explained the trouble I was having. They gave me the number, and I had the Prob. solved Imed. I can only guess the volume of emails they receive every day. Maybe 8-9! Just kidding... Ps. The local dealer (un-named) told me my '04 Super Fever was sold as a Canadian/ Mexican import, and NOT a U.S. scoot. This was because TWICE they ordered the wrong throttle cable. I have been using the "net" since.
