« on: February 24, 2015, 02:05:53 PM »
As soon as my re - bonding foam arrives i will take step by step in trial and error which i hope to get it right i may or may not might have to do it several times but i will post pics where most of the guys here that say they have made mods to there seats show no pics just think of the many friends you would have if you did im not looking to have friends im just one of those guys interested in how you guys did it so hopefully when done i will shed some light on this matter and i hope it helps someone else mod there seat in a better and more comfy way :)

I took the seat from my GT300 to a car upolster(?) shop but, results were bad, and am back to a stock seat.  Looking forward to seeing your pictures.
Where did you get materials?

to shape the foam I used a 4 " grinder for fast removal, then used a belt sander to smooth and finish the foam,.  left the outside edges square when you stretch the vynal it pulls it down , to a nice finish, and good for us over 200 lbs.  I cut the dome off completely and ran the foam over it,  when parked putting your helmet in there just push the seat down , still gos in and closes,.  I used 4 " 10 lb. foam,  and cut a slant in seat were I sit the most so I dont slide forward any more,.  A 1 " slant did it,.    by the way wear a face mask the foam flys with the grinder , and turns to dust with the belt sander,.
