BBK install advice and questions.....
« on: March 21, 2015, 03:09:58 AM »
So.. after waiting for the thaw its time to install my BBK. Was looking for tips and tricks anyone has! Also who has the best advice on break in procedure?

I'm hoping to hit a solid cruising speed of 45+! Exhaust, jetted carb and air filter are installed already. I have 7 gram weights and a 1500 torque spring to go in at that time.

Well you fellas are the best so let me know what you have!

BETTINandLOSING you are the man btw. Sorry for my ghost like attendance! Work and buying a house.....

BBk. not needed if you change rollers to 5.5 78 main jet and cut the cdi box. and a smooth drive boss. you should reach a good speed of 45 or better. If you do the bbk make sure you change the crank to.

Ive done all that and my best flat ground speed is 39-40 mph. I need those extra few mph to make my travels safer around my town.

Put the stock 50 back in and now I have a crazy loss of power from where it was. I am sad to say I am pretty sure that I put the BBK head gasket back by accident. Is this a problem?? I thought maybe it would drop my comp ratio? IDK I need some help from the old guard here!!  :o
