Not all CDI are de-restricted by cutting that wire. You'll have to look up a topic specific to your Super 9 because they are different than most Kymco scooters. Is your bike water cooled or air?

Super 9 Air cooled:
Replace Variator shaft with kymco pn2000
No CDI or Jetting changes required

Super 9 Liquid
Replace variator shaft with Kymco pn2001
Unplug CDI and unplug green wire
No jetting required

Only replace variator shaft if original shaft has spacer or is stepped

It should hit 40 all stock. 85 is prolly too lean with that pipe. Also what "sport" variator? Naraku? Any of the cheap variator will actually hurt your performance usually. You still have not said if it is air or water cooled model Super 9...

Is the above stated "50cc ac" pointing towards air cooled or referring to the cdi being ac fired?
Another reason I think LC is better.  No electrical confusion [emoji13]

...if it's l/c all you had to do was disconnect the housing wires and you can snap it back together when you want to put it back
