Trying out my GoPro
« on: April 04, 2015, 04:51:57 AM »
Received a GoPro by way of my son. He begged us for months to get a GoPro for Christmas. Long story short he showed no interest in it after tearing open the box on Christmas Day. Rather then have it collect dust we got him an iPad and I got the camera.

Here is my first video using the GoPro. It was mounted to the leg shield using a suction cup mount.

Nice job Trout!
Could you do me a favor and move the camera so I can see a piece of the scooter? The front wheel suspension working - or the rear , or your precise and fluid shifting through the gears.....or, in some way a position as proof that this camera was not mounted on the nearly rusted out L quarter panel of a 1975 AMC Pacer??  (Kids, don't Bing up an image of one - you'll go blind! Fair warning.)
I'm trying to work out where you live. Pine trees, green hills, blue sky, Taxi cab? Hmmmm.
Idaho ? .....because I didn't see any thirsty looking people..sky's too blue and because I could actually see the people --  so I don't think it was SoCal.

Good first effort!
Shoot some more footage....or however those things work.

Nice job, Trout! I saw a bright yellow hot rod and a very blue Ford Cobra. Thought I could read "California" on that SUV you filtered on its right. Saw a palm tree so it HAD to be SoCal.

Your first vid was good.
I made some last summer with a Mobious Action Cam.
Have a few more beautiful places I'd like to shoot.
Will enjoy watching them when I get too old to ride.

Not Idaho. Too cool here still for the shorts I see some people wearing in the video.

I think the whole thing is a hoax.....like the moon landings.
He was sitting in his living room with his Kindle and a new CGI app. ( I heard a toilet flush in the background noise - explain that!)

Flash flood. He was just ahead of the storm. (pay no attention to the man behind the scooter)

Thanks for the compliments.

One need only look at the lower frame of this post to see my location (San Jose, CA). The vid was of downtown Los Gatos. One of the burbs of the silicon valley wealthy.

Nice video Trout Bum. This reminds me of Boulder City here in Vegas. Do you happen to ride with the South Bay Scooter Posse? I know a few of their members have attended the last two Vegas scooter rallies.

Haven't ridden with those folk. I should try and make a few locally rallies/ride this summer.

Looks good, bro!

I had a helmet mount and I just couldn't get that thing right. It was either too cock-eyed to one side or pointed too far down or up. Looks like you found a good spot for it.

And man do I miss the sound of a scooter under me haha
