xciting 500

Hey everyone. The xciting 500 is back on the Kymco USA web site? Strange that they removed it, and now it's back on? Are they going to import them again? I thought that maybe they dropped it to bring in the 400i? The 500 sold well enough. Maybe since the 700 has not sold, they are bringing back the x500? They may think there is to much competition in the 400 market? Yamaha majesty 400, Suzuki burgman 400? Who knows for sure? I wish they would let us know what their plans are for the future. After all, were their customers! Whats the big secret about everything?

My dealer, York Cycle Anchorage, says that the My Road isn't drawing its intended crowd and individuals over 5'10'' don't really find the Downtown comfortable.  The Xciting already is EPA certified so why not continue to market it.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. I have heard it cost a boat load of money to get a new engine through EPA etc. Glad to see it's back.

Talking to my dealer today about a rack for my top box, in conversation he informed me that while the 500 is back there is no 2015 inventory.  Also the Kymco rep told him the 400 has entered cert testing.  If and when it passes this will be the last for the 500 and the My Road in the U.S.

What you get with the 500 is better seating for some and ABS. it's problem has always been weight to HP. The 500 comes in at 473lbs and 38hp.

The DT300 weighs in at 367lbs at 30hp. At all but the far too end the DT will match the Xciting.

What is the make and model of the black bags you have on the grey bike AMAC1680? And Jeopardy4100, any new news on the 400? If I can get the $ together I would like a new X500. But I have heard so many good things about the 400i, I would like to take one for a spin before making a move.  Hate to buy new, only to regret not waiting.
