My best guess is that it looks redder when it's thinner. Or the way the light was hitting it. Or witchcraft.

hopefully i got it right, both bolts were engine oil, i didn't touch the tranny screws, so i think I'm good, I will let the shop change my gear oil when i get my 2 tires mounted, thanks for all your help.

Break in oil for sure.
