Agility 50 charging system PLEASE HELP!!!
« on: April 22, 2015, 05:57:00 PM »
Hi guys n gals. Please help if you can.
I have a problem with the charging system on my agility 50.

Battery volts full charge is 12.7,  Cranking charge is 10.8 volts.

When I rev the engine the voltage from the generator goes up to around 13.5, then when revs  go over 50% throttle, it drops to around 5 volts. Is this normal?

Trying to work out why it wont turn over in the mornings enough to start it. I have tried with lights off, and even tried kicking it over with the s/motor, but some days it just wont go. Then next day, it fires up first push of the button.

Any suggestions please!

Valves have been checked all ok. When its going its fine runs perfectly. Just the starting problem. I reckoned it was either the genny or the relay. Thanks for the advice on the relay, I'll fit a new one and see.
