Sounds like you guys may need what I have from time-to-time...a scooter trailer.

^ The trailer weighs about 27 lbs. and pulls like a dream.  It's also folds-up
for convenient storage.  I hang-it-up in the garage when not in-use.  It also attracts
quite a bit of attention. ;)

Really comes in-handy every now and then.  I don't have a hitch on my KYMCO yet, so sorry about the other quality scooter brands pictured.

Happy scootin'!

I may be slower uphill, but I'm quicker at the gas pump!

That's really cool!  How does it attach?  It looks like it hooks somewhere by the back of the cvt cover?

I have seen this hitch on this fiddle but not with the trailer attached, and it looked pretty sturdy.  I would like to see it actually functioning!  Wonderful idea!

See photos below...

^ This photo shows the hitch on the Yamaha C3 I once
had.  It doesn't really matter whether the larger part of
the hitch (where the trailer actually attaches) is up or
down.  I went down with it on the SYM Fiddle because
it made the trailer a little more level when hitched-up.

That's a pretty simple install!  They use that same type of attachment on bicycle trailers!

That is cool as SCHTUUFF! I could ride puppies, and my wombat all over town w/ one of those. If you put that 25' pvc sideways it would be even more fun...(to watch)

Daniel,

Ride up to Asheboro sometime, maybe with the Scooter Invasion group, and I'll let you pull the trailer around a bit.  How's that for actually seeing it function?  We can go get a load of something, right?  We'll figure that out when you get here! ;)  Maybe you could bring Josh and 420Ben with you.  I've been thinking about putting a small, lightweight Christmas tree on the trailer and riding in our local Christmas parade on Dec. 4.  Wouldn't that be a freakin' sight to see!?!? ;D

Speaking of loads, how much is that trailer rated for?  What have you used it for?

Speaking of parades, the idea of an SI ride in one came up, but all the local registration dates have passed!  That'd be awesome to se the group together in a parade!

That trailer is cool, but as for pulling it around, it kinda intimidates me!

Well, I converted it from a 2-kid trailer by removing the kid-hauling stuff and simply mounting a flatbed, so I probably wouldn't want to carry more than 50 lbs. or so.  I think it's rated for 100 or so lbs.  I have carried a 6 ft. aluminum step ladder on it, a few bags of mulch, a big box full of misc. stuff, etc.  I mainly use it for relatively lightweight hauling at low speeds, say not more than 30 mph or so.  I have pulled the faster, but not for extended periods.  We have summer concerts in the park not far from my house and I can use it for carrying a cooler, lawn chairs, etc. to the event.  If I lived at the beach, I would use it to haul my gear down to the waterfront, for example.

Yeah, that would be cool and I would love to ride in a parade with a scooter group.

The registration dates for our local Christmas parade has probably already passed also, but there's always next year, right?

The trailer is so lightweight (27 lbs.), you can hardly tell it's behind you...even with a small load.  No more so than with a 100+ lbs. passenger really.
