I think people who bought the People have very good things to say about that big wheel and seating set up. The LIKE has a hateful seat and small wheels...other than that it is a great scoot too. People would probably have better resale value. For same price I'd go with the big wheeled People.....was not avail. when I purchased my LIKE200i......always wanted the big wheels. Big wheels provide more stability at speed, take bumps better.

I may be partial owning a Peoples 200 myself but that is the way I'd go. In addition to what has been mentioned above you can kick start the peoples, not sure you can do that on the like.

I owned the People S200 for over 3 years & it was a wonderful scooter! I should never have sold it. I bought a Suzuki 250cc motorcycle & kept that a year, then bought the GT300i.

Anyway...The People S200 is built in Taiwan & the fit & finish is outstanding. Even though it has a carb it's still very worthy. I'm 6'0" & 220lbs. The Like is too small for me & it feels a little on the "cheap" side. It does have dual disc brakes & FI which is huge! Carbs are fine if you use additives with every fill-up (Seafoam & StarBrite ethanol treatments) When I did this I NEVER had one problem with the S200. I live in New England & would store the People in my shed for the Winter. Once Spring came, it would only take 2-3 tries & she would start-up every time.

I found the People 125i from the British website. So...as BettinANDLosing said, there is a FI version.

Take a bus then ride the S200, 75 miles is no big deal for that scoot. The 200 does have a surprisingly small fuel tank though.
