I am just new to tuning cvts I still got a stock belt at 6000 km and I'm sure I probably need to get a new one. I have heard of performance variators meant for the torquey 70cc kit but some don't fit in the cover. Any idea which work? I also am probably going to want a spring only slightly heavier than stock. Not big on sliders or rollers either. Maybe I'll buy some assorted malossi ones but any idea of a range? Maybe I should start a thread not labeled cdi...
Search search search.  There's probably a good amount of threads already littered in the forum about weights,  springs,  etc involving the cvt.  I know I've done my fair share of littering ha ha ha

I bought mine used with some aftermarket springs in it.  The clutch springs allow my take off to start at about 4500-5000rpms. I upgraded the torque spring to a stiffer one.  Better for the mountain area here.  I think it's a 1500, I can't recall it's been so long.
Like previously said,  it's about personal preference and rider's weight.  mine is still off a little,  it hangs at about 25mph then takes off.
Sounds like a fun set-up

Definitely a huge difference over my other scoots.  I'm fixing a really decent Genuine Buddy 50 for a friend's girlfriend.  Test drove it to get more fuel.  The ride was nice and smooth,  comfortable,  but there was a lack in response that took the excitement out of it.
I'm afraid I'll never like anything as much as the s9. Unless I score a nice aprilla that's liquid cooled [emoji41]

Yea, the super 9 is a great scoot for a 49cc. Even my stock super9 (minus the boss) is a lot of fun

Hahaha ya especy compared to my old Suzuki fa 50. Ive fixed my buddies Honda hobbit and honda spree and i would never want to go that slow again. 28 on flats compared to 50 uphill? No thank you. I got my s9 with only 1000km bone stock other than dealer derestrictions too. Needless to say I'm nearing 6k. But everyone who scoots these things seems around the same weight, I'm 190. I would use past reference material but there's unfortunately a lot of discontinued kymco parts. Racing planet has a mint 20mm mani I might pick up for my dellorto 19. Probably a lot of restriction with the stock mani. My biggest regret is pickin up the next r and learning about the rsii after. Just thinking about the power that could have been

A bit late on this, but you were talking about pipes and power, check this graph out suggesting that the triops is top dog. Might only be really useful to those with bbk installed.

And lemme know if you go with a larger intake manifold. I really don't want to modify the stock one, but I feel that it's restricting my 19 mm arreche, possibly contributing to some of my random oddball sputtering. It's just too spontaneous. Hard to explain them.
