I don't think the spark plug charts helped me very much.. It's either really rich or really lean?

Same spark plug just different lighting conditions.

Spark plugs reading is all good but it has to be done under controlled conditions unless plug condition is really off the charts.

For instance: install new plug, go wide open throttle 1 mile, immediately cut engine and remove and check plug. Cut/chop plug threads apart and inspect insulator area.

Thats why I like to occasionally pull the head and see if there is any detonation damage to the piston or excessive carbon build up.

How long was the plug in the scoot before you changed it

0BARK that plug has been in for about a month. I had an Iridium in it before but took it out after reading the stock plug type is better.

Looking at the first pic it's pretty clear I'm running Bel Ray oil. It stained my plug! :)

I have used bel-ray and that have never happened......maybe you are doing a lot of short ride and not letting the engine get hot enough to burn off that stuff

Uve got a lot of carbon.. its a 2stoke?
Being a 2 stroke uve got to much oil, starts ok?
Being a 4 stroke id say youve got some oil through the rings.

Is that spark plug the right one for you scoot?
Get it to running temperature.. put the new spark and ride it at wot for some minutes and pull it and there you can inspect the mixture as they said before.
