Front Fender Removal..
« on: May 10, 2015, 09:30:34 PM »
So, my People 150 got knocked over yet again here in NYC..

At least this time, they left a note indicating how I can contact them to resolve damage.

Anywho, while this all plays out, I'm looking to do as much cosmetic work as possible.

The front fender is now a jagged shape..kind of like a great white took a partial bite out of it..lol

I can't figure out what's involved with it's removal just by looking it over..

Does anyone have experience doing this?

Do I have to remove the front panel where the chrome air flow panel resides?

How about the front panel on the inside of the scooter where the glove box is?

I noticed 2 "bolts" on each wheel fork but it didn't appear to me that the fender was connected to them..which means they prob are ;-)

Thanks for your help in advance..

Jono

Unfortunately they designed it so you have to drop the forks to remove it :/ this involves a LOT of work, such as removing handle bars and front plastics. I'd recommend taking it to a shop.
2002 Kymco B&W 300; MRP 78MM "300CC", Naraku cam, Yoshimura rS3 exhaust, 17g Sliders, Yellow torque spring drilled airbox, stock carb #115 main #40 pj.

of course they did  >:(

I'm thinking about using a dremel with a circular saw attachment and cutting off most of the exposed fender so that it's still connected but the front part of the fender won't show as much..

Thanks for your feedback..
