Damn Electrical Gremlin
« on: May 31, 2015, 12:30:24 AM »
OK....this has been an ongoing problem for the last two months or so.   I completely die.  She won't even turn over.    I replaced the battery, I took it up to my mechanic and they replaced the rectifier.  I've replaced the spark plug.

She run fine for a few days....then die.   Start right up after sitting for a day or two.  Go a week without issue.

Frankly I'm stumped.  I got to have a short somewhere.....but where? :-[

I played with it somewhat this afternoon thinking it's the fuses.  In playing around with it I noticed one of the battery cables was rubbing against the plastic case the battery sits in.  It started right up with full power when that plastic piece was off....put it on, nothing.  So, I think I just may need a new battery cable...or a better way to hold the battery in place.

Ideas?
