Confused about purchasing Agility 16+ 125 cc

Dear  Members,

First of all thank you for accepting me as a new member of KymcoForum.
One of these days I would like to purchase a Kymco scooter.The model I really like,
is the 2015 Agility 125 City 16+ Before I buy something,no matter what,I do lots of research.
Now,the more I read about the China-made Kymco scooters,the more I become confused.
Some websites talk about the inferior (NOT bad!!)quality compared to the Taiwan-made Kymco
scooters.Also the carb-feeded engines VS injection engines are reason to have some  questions.
Many people say that carbs often need to be adjusted,en that they are sensitive to dirt/dust.
They also seem to have more starting issues and "keep-running" issues than injection systems.
I am not afraid about the aircooled engine of the Agility 125,only the carb and "China-made" issues.
A friend says that I don't need to worry about the modern carbs,because they are different and
more balanced compared to older models.Second option would be the Dink Street 125.Finally I
would like to mention that I am pretty tall and heavy (6.5 ft/275 lb)Will the Agility 125 be a good
choice do you think?I am not a "racing fan",and I will use the scoot only as commuting vehicle.

For a fella your size forget the 125 if you think it can comfortably haul you around. You're too tall for the bike.

Given the choices out there I would look at the 300I kymcos. Both you and the bike will have a better time.

The CV carbs used on Kymcos are a 30 - 40 - 50??? year old design. Nothing new in them except the EtOH proof materials. That's actually a good thing tho because they are proven, and do work fine. Harley/Kawi/Honda, and most other bikes have used a version of them for decades.

Most any issue that effects a carb bike. will be the same on an injected bike. It all comes down to maintenance, and, preventive maintenance. Never store the bike long term with un-stabilized fuel in it, and all is good.

The 300I kymco is about the most popular bike on the forum, and has the absolute best track record (IMHO).
If you shop around the country, and don't mind a road trip to pick one up, you can get one brand new (2-3 yo leftover) for the same price as the agility 125.

Again... comfort. The agility is a small bike for me, and I am 6' even. (I ride 50cc bikes, and they feel the same size as the 125's).

I own the kymco agility city, your weight is not a problem and I don't think your height is either I am about 6ft 3 myself and I have a bit of room for my knees but I am not a very large built man so you may find it different. Only way to be sure of a good fit is to find a dealer or someone selling this scooter and sit on it and see how it feels and if its a good fit. The agility city is a good choice because it is larger than the agility scooter. You can always try sitting back further of the seat but this might be uncomfortable.

Arguably carbs are better than fuel injection. Carbs are easier to maintain by the average person, if you change your airfilter and fuel filters often enough then the carb shouldn't get dirty and if it does there are lots of tutorials on how to clean it. Also if you drive it everyday then the carb regularly gets flushed so a blockage is unlikely. Fuel injection on the other hand if anything goes wrong you pretty much need a specialist to deal with it.

If you do sit on the agility city and find it too small then you should look at the touring scooter range of kymco like the 300i and 400 series like the xciting 400.

First of all,thank you both for the fast en complete answers!I should go to a dealer and ask for a testdrive,
that may be the best solution.Now I know a lot more about carbs and injection systems.I forgot to
mention that I am not allowed to drive a scooter/motorcycle over 125 cc/11 kw.This is because of my type
of driver license.In Belgium you can drive a motorcycle/scooter up to 125 cc with your regular car license.
If you want to drive a 150cc or more,you have to obtain a special license for that.Silly,I know...But once you
have that piece of paper,you are allowed to drive unlimited CC's or Kw's :-) The only option for me right now,
is to look for the "best fitting" 125 cc.I heard the Kymco Dink Street 125 i is pretty good for large people like me.
The search continues!

We don't get any of them here. The agility I think is it. You have a lot more choices there.
What I can say is dollar for dollar Kymco is King.
They do break like anything else but if you care for them properly they might out last your need for it. They are less expensive to purchase, less to maintain, and re-sell for a good price.

I think it is a no contest choice for value.

I like the Piagio bikes better but the money is the deciding factor.

Can you get the PGO Buddy or BuBu 125 where you are?  It will smoke the Agility by about 10mph.  Build quality is equal to Japanese made Hondas or Yamahas.  I've owned a couple.  They haul my  200+ lbs around just fine.   Good seat height.  Very well made scooter.

Looked up PGO.It's available in Belgium yes.Only one import company for the whole Benelux.
They have nice models indeed.I noticed that some models offered on Kymco websites,are
different from country to country.As I mentioned before,in case the Agility isn't the "winner",
I would probably go for the DinkStreet 125i (link)

I like the model,tried it in the showroom(even more space than my friends SYM MaxSym 400i!),
but unfortunately there was no vehicle available for testdrive(all the DinkStreet were sold and paid)
Price for the Agility 125 16+  : 1799 euro's (carb,aircooled,diskbrakes.HP: 8.97 )
Price for the Dinkstreet 125 :3199 euro's (injection,liquid cooled,diskbrakes.HP: 14.96  )

They have a summer action right now:for the "lighter"models they give -150€ discount cashback,and
for the more expensive series even 200€ cashback...till end of july

If I compare tech specs,and HP's,the Dinkstreet is probably more suitable for my length en weight....
Again....every advise is welcome!

Dink street has my vote.

Fuel injection problems are rare, and your dealer should be able to take care of everything.

Ask to see their shop, and their computer scanner in action before you buy from them. Some dealers have no mechanics experienced enough to care for the FI bikes.
If they can care for the bike... That's my vote.

The Kymco DinkStreet 125i has been ordered!Color is white.It took me so long to decide,

Currently I have an old Honda Wallaroo 50 cc,and that good old machine gets the job done too...so I might be
