With sidestand down startmotor cranking the engine?
« on: June 18, 2015, 06:07:54 PM »
Can anyone confirm what the X normally does when you start the engine with the sidestand down.
I need to know to confirm wether there is an issue with switch in the sidestand or not.

Does the startmotor crank the engine (like mine does) without firing up?

Crank but no start, the same as your handle bar kill Switch.

Thanks.
Are you sure about the kill switch? Normally the kill switch well.... kills everything

X500 *should* still crank with the handle bar kill switch in "kill", don't fully remember though. If the side stand kills the motor its doing it's job.

With side stand down engine cranks but does not start. When running, if you put side stand down it kills the engine just like kill switch.  :-*
