Papa, hold the phone here!! :-)
I knew nothing about scooters when I bought my LIKE200i.
With a handful of dollar table tools of the corrrct size....you too can do a whole bunch of normal maintenance on your LIKE200i.
Engine oil, gear oil, brakes, brake fluid, bulbs, top cases, valve lash adjustment or checks, spark plug changes. That takes care of darn near everything your LIKE200i is going to need during your ownership years.
Ask a question here, we have the answers.. .or will make up something pretty darn believable!! :-)
There's a bunch of how-to's in the LIKE200i threads....or, if you can't find them...ask, we can point you to them.
Believe me..... if I can do this stuff...most anyone with opposing thumbs can do it!
The LIKE200i is very easy to do normal servicing on....a darn shame to pay somebody else.
Plus, it's actually kinda fun....makes you feel like a NASA technician.
Kind of you to offer the encouragement! I will think on what you wrote...

Just to keep the information relevant. The Like 200i now has 1,200 miles on it. Top speed hasn't changed one iota (57 to 58 mph).
The break-in gain that a few have spoken of hasn't been seen on my Like...
There does appear (not that I have a scientific manner of measure) to be a gain in acceleration between middle of the range.
The scooter feels like it gets fro 20 to 50 a lot quicker than it did 700 miles ago.
Maybe there will be a gain at top end in a few hundred more miles? We'll see :)

For the most part, that is the top end. Yes, after break in, acceleration improves greatly. Top end beyond that 57- 58 mph range, is minor. Again, the occasional 60 - 63 is obtainable. I would not expect it to consistently do it unless conditions are right.

I have ridden well over 17 miles on my scooters.

Riding down a hill with the wind at your back you'll see 63mph.

Not to put too fine a point on it:

But best speed accessories might be a set of sliders from Jenny Craig and maybe a hit clutch from Nutrisystem.

Because....the LIKE is telling me, "I got nothing..." more.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

The like is a fine scoot for the money, a lot of nice features. Disc brakes, efi, top case, looks cool as hell. But folks it's a 150cc class scoot, not 200cc. From the 3 150cc scoots I've had it performed just like a 150cc should. Even the Movie 150 with it's 13.5 ponies could only muster 62/63 mph given my size. The beauty of the movie is the torque it had going up hills and not slowing down like other 150cc scoots. If you want 200/250cc performance you need to get a 200/250cc scoot. Wishing the like to be what it isn't won't make it so.
