My 2007 scooter was having issues. I got it from a friend and I was getting it running again. I finally ended up getting a new carb, and I have been trying to get it adjusted just right. In the meantime, when I turn on the key, my headlights and taillights wuit coming on. Also, how can I tell if the electric choke is working?

If the electric choke (bystarter) is working correctly, when you start the bike, in a few seconds the rpms will be pretty high until the bike is warmed up.  Then it will idle down to proper idle rpms.  The best way I've found to test the bystarter is to remove it from the carb and bench test it, but I had to remove the carb to do this.  Also,  for everything to work properly the air screw and the idle screw must be properly adjusted.  Do you know the sizes of the two jets in your replacement carb?
