Quick question regarding Wholesale Kymco Parts
« on: August 12, 2015, 07:01:49 PM »
Hey there forum, might be making a big move in the next 6 months, all I can say so far. But my main question is how many of you would get onboard with a wholesale type account for Kymco parts and accessories if I were to offer something of the sort? This is something I have though about since I've been on here and seen so many people post up "where to get Kymco parts" etc. Give me some feedback.

Didn't Zombie do that already?  And would it be one of those deals where the part plus shipping is the same price other places sell for with shipping included?

I would, hoping I would not need to use it but yes.

As many here complain about lack of communication, not getting parts, it would seem more would recommend and use a board members services especially if you are competitive.

I wouldn't think you would have to be the lowest, service cost but many from what I read want the Cheapest And the Best Service and that is Not going to happen.

1. You are a board member

2. You are readily available here

3. You offer Free advice to most on here

4. I don't know of anyone on here who is a dealer/mechanic that is a participating member

I'll let you guys know what happens, it might be some time before getting anything worked out. I would love to be able to provide "forum membership" price points on parts. Kymco is a little slow shipping parts from NC, and they do not offer drop shipping. Most online Kymco parts retailers do not let customers know this, and there is no way they can stock even half the parts people might need. This is where my communication will come into play, I have heard bad stories from you guys about emailing kymco parts online places and not hearing back and parts taking like 6 months etc etc. My goal would be to be able to give discounts to everyone on here, and set expectations on ETA of delivery while keeping the customer up to date on back orders and other problems relating to Kymco USA ( I think they are very good with parts, just kind of slow some times). I have looked at some parts on other large Kymco parts sites and their prices are dirt cheap, some parts are basically AT cost, so some stuff would be impossible to sell any lower, but I would promise up to the minute status updates and unless there is a backorder part quick turnaround. We stock most service items for 50-500cc Kymco scoots, and if this were to blow up we could expand our stock. In stock parts would have 3-4 day USPS shipping, parts ordered from Kymco USA would be 7-10 days on average. I will be working on updating our website with an embedded parts fiche for easy parts lookup, but unforunatly Kymco USA does not provide up to the minute online back order status, this is also where most online Kymco parts sites fail; they don't let the customer know ASAP if the part is back ordered, or sometimes not at all. Stuff happens and I feel as long as the customer knows what is going on, they will usually be OK, or at least if they know it's back ordered they have the option of canceling the order rather than waiting in the dark for months like most Kymco parts places seem to do.

you can look up the part you need here, and they even show MSRP. Let me know the part number when you find it.

...

I was wondering what a side mirror would cost + shipped to san diego, when next needed.  Just interested in a general price.  My local dealer gets rather pricey.

Thanks.
