Hello everyones.
« on: August 22, 2015, 04:36:31 PM »
Well, here I am then all newly minted, registered up.
The fresh (to me) 2014 DT steed is sitting outside.

So a big hello to Downtown world :D

85 Miles today and you know what, the DT is really quite a hoot to ride, have been decidedly cautious filtering through traffic which is not at all like me 8), mind you next week its back to the daily commute into the central London deepend.

Welcome to the DT world. I'm a new owner myself after riding a Yager GT 200i (Dink or Grand Dink in Europe -- I think) for about 5 years. Post pics if you have any. You said you're in London, but you used the term miles. British, American, other?

Hi alls.

apols for not responding, have been away most of weekend out of coverage of the mobile internets.
thats London-UK wolf.

Hmm really strange in heavy traffic, quite unnatural feeling, the transmission hesitation as the rollers bite is still disconcerting, a bit like driving an Automatic turbo diesel car, the turbo lag + torque converter take up delay etc.

Mind you, bunging my work bag under the seat was a real treat. :)

I find my DT isn't a morning person. She's seems laggy for the first ten minutes, or so of driving. Once I shut her down and later start her up again sometime later she's as smooth as glass. My commute home today was like riding on silk. I wonder if you're going through a break in phase. Ambient temperature may be another factor.
