Tune Up guide
« on: September 02, 2015, 08:42:36 AM »
Are you aware of a tune up guide I can download?  Just bought a super 9 that hasn't been used in a couple years.  It's in pretty good condition, but I think needs a minor tune up.  It came with a replacement spark plug and fuel filter.  I have a new battery in it, but it won't start.  I'm not a mechanic, but I am pretty handy and can follow instructions fairly well.

Check for spark before... if theres no spark check plug, wire, cap, coil and cdi.
If theres spark check fuel system. Petcock, filter, lines and carb.

There not much that can go wrong... 0

Then id change transmission oil and brake fluid. Empty clean and replace oil reservoir and gas tank. Change or clean air filter. Change plug and gas filter. Inspect belt rollers and brake pads. Check lighting and tires.
Seems a lot but its very important to have a reliable and safe scoot.
Post a pic!!

If it's been sitting for two years it's going to need the carb cleaned on the inside. Plenty of videos of how to do this, but it's easy to screw up I suggest taking it to a shop.
