Fuel Injection is Good.

On January 3 of 2009,  Urbestfriend posted "Too Long to Warm Up" under the
Agility 50 section.  There were 28 posts on that subject.  We'll this year,
Urbestfirend still has the 50,  but has also stepped up to the Xciting 250.

The temp. here has been in the 30's F. and the Xciting had been stored for about a
week and a half.  Although it took several cranks to get it started,  it did and after
30 seconds,  it was ready to go.  The Fuel Injection is a nice addition.  Did ride tonight
to the Post Office (Around 38 deg. F.)  Very nice ride.  I really miss riding.  My $6.00
a week gasoline bill is now $20.00 driving a 4 wheel vehicle.

As per my Opinion  Fuel injection is a system for admitting fuel into an internal combustion engine. It's a matter of opinion and preference. Replace the gas cap and close the tank.

I passed on the SYM HD200 because it has a carb. Hot or cold it doesn't matter the Yager starts fine runs fine!

Did you ride the SYM HD200 ?

I hear it's real snappy and fun.

Also it's a very different scoot, but I hear the same thing about the Genuine Buddy 150.
Peppy and fun, with mabey the best weight to power ratio.
Little powerful scoots always catch my attention because we take one on vacation.
Toyota mini van stuffed to the gills with a family of five and all our crap - then a versahaul & scooter on the back.

I'd like to go to a show where I really could try many different scoots.

PS: Opps there may not be a Buddy 150 !
Their site shows a 50, 125 and now a 170.
Maybe it was the 125 I heard about.

 I saw the Honda PCX 150 first. My big thing on bikes is the MPG's and it promised 100!
Many of the big scooters only get 50 or so.

 I much prefer fuel injection, that way if it sits for a while you don't have any problems
getting it going again.

 The old 150 Honda that I had was just a bit too slow so in looking I wanted a touch bigger scoot.
I considered the Sym HD200 but it is carbureted and the Blur 220i but it is air cooled the Buddy
170i wasn't out yet. Then I found the Yager and saw it was being discontinued for next year so
I searched around to find one and found I could order one so I snapped it up!

 I have found some vehicles are better than others. I had a virago 250 and it was great! The other
250's are dog slow, the virago is a stroked 125 so it is built small and has lots of torque.

The reason the VX feels stronger is because of the V twin, put that v twin 250 vs a cbr250r or 250r ninja single and it cant hang. My MHR build scooter is faster than a virago 750 till 65. I love yamahas as I have an 1100 but their v twins have a lot to be desired.
Randy how many miles do you actually see from a gallon on the Yager? I have a chance to get one on a trade, Im looking for something me and the GF can drive with out having issues with height, power, and stopping. The guy says its the best scooter hes ever owned. Fuel injection is definitely what draws my attention to it.

Well so far I get around 80 MPG. The fuel injection defiantly helps in that regard.
I haven't tried it two up yet but it has lots of torque vs the 150's. The foot position
feels funny at first as they hid the 3 gallon gas tank under your feet so it's a bit
higher than you think it will be but that makes it handle great as all the weight
is down low. The smaller wheels help too, I find myself laying it over in the corners
as it is so nimble!

I'll second Randy's comment about laying over in corners.

My wife sees it from behind when touring together - she says it really leans.

That reminds me of the Kymco 300 claim that it has the highest possible lean angle at 36 degrees.

I'd like to hear more details about that claim . . . Highest ever of all scooters, or just Kymco?
