Looking to buy a good cordless impact wrench. don't wana spent to much .Put something good to keep under the seat of the scoot. what kind is good enough to work on the whole scoot. and what kind of power should it have.is a 3/8 drive good enough or should I go all out and get 1/2 inch. Ya the thing is most places sales the wrench for 90 then you have pay 60 for the battery then on top of that another 45 to 50 for a charger. why do they sale theam like that. sears sales the Graftmen for 150 and you get everything.Looks like that's the way to go.

Other than removing a clutch nut, there's really not that much need for an impact wrench with a scooter. I own a Ryobi impact wrench and I rarely use it other than removing a clutch pack nut.

To change the belt on my Kymco I bought a Kawasaki 12V that plugs into a power port or you can get an adapter for battery hookup. On sale I only paid $38 from Amazon.com, it came from Smith Tools in California. I am very happy with it, might be a little big for under the seat if you have other crap under there like I do.

Looking to buy a good cordless impact wrench.

Cordless tools always need expensive batteries, so try a corded 1/2" Chinese impact wrench like from Harbor freight.  There's only 3 nuts on a scooter that need an impact wrench, so it's not so important that it be cordless.

I bought this one for about $79 several years ago for my 4x4 wheels - no batteries, always works

I always use a variator holder for the clutch bell or variator fan if it has the two indentations to hold it.  I made this 4 years ago, and it will fit a lot of scooters.

I had a Vespa ET2 a couple of years back.  The variator did not have the dimples to hold it.  I bought this from Harbor Freight using one of thier 20% off coupons.   Don't plug it into your scooter socket, it will blow the fuse.  It clamps to the battery.  I've used it a half dozen times or so over the last two years, and it works great.   Take a sharpie and draw reference line across your crankshaft and variator nut.  When re-installing, go slightly past your mark.
