Unrestricted but still restricted?
« on: November 16, 2015, 05:16:27 AM »
I have changed out the variator plus new rollers, unrestricted boss and a unrestricted cdi. However it only goes 38mph still? I read with those mods I should be able to hit 45-50mph.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

38mph is about all you'll ever get with those few mods.  Rollers will make no difference.  At 38mph, yer done!

44 mph is probably all you will achieve without a big bore kit to take it to 90 or 100cc. Variator weights won't make a lot of difference, try 5.5 to 6g. You will need a #88 main jet. Fit 2000 rpm clutch springs as well to get much better take off. Less than £5 for the set of 3. Is your air filter clean?
