« on: November 26, 2015, 09:31:12 AM »
Can im struggling to change the spark plug as I cant find it.

Can anyone send me a link on instructions or a diagram on how to do it??

I live in in Spain and the spanish sites (in spanish) are not very useful.

Kymcos are not popular in the UK and there is no forum there.

Can anyone help as the manual is rubbish.

cheers in advance

should be around cylinder head, look around and feel around, can't miss it with a big rubber boot on it.  Or follow the spark plug wire from the coil, should be the biggest wire you can find with rubber on it and follow it to the cylinder head.

On my Xciting 500 2007, you get to the spark plug by opening the middle panel (one screw, kind of between your ankles when you're sitting on the bike). Look in there with a flashlight and mirror, you might be able to see the top of the plug toward the rear, recessed in the cylinder head. Anyway, you pull the spark plug wire loose, then use the long spark plug socket, which on my scooter is attached with the tool kit on the underside of the seat. Not easy to see or do first time, but once you know where it is, it's pretty easy to do by feel.
