I know this seems a simple thing to most but you never know if someone can use the help.

Wayne,
I just watched your videos including Reuben in his first snow.  It looks like you are enjoying your 500 xciting.
I had posted a few months ago asking how it was going and I sent a pm asking.  When there wasn't a reply I figured you sold the bike. Keep the videos coming.

I called and we spoke on the phone. I wasn't under the assumption I was to follow up on anything. Sorry if there was any "dropping of the ball" on my part.

I have had a few cold start issues but I'm working through that with some new parts. If it persists, I'll be posting for some help here with a complete listing of my troubleshooting to date. Other than that I am looking forward to warm weather and and hoping to plan a multi day ride next summer. Maybe even stopping to see some friends along the way. As far as this winter, I'd love to ride everyday if the pavement is dry. Just need to see how this beast is going to react to the cold once I've put in a few parts.

I'll pass along a little thing I do when replacing and connecting a battery. I use dielectric grease on the bolt threads and connector tabs. Prevents corrosive build-up.

Keep us posted on your lithium battery. I've had two OEM lead acid fail within the first year. Both during the cold winter months. The dealer in frustration replaced under warranty with a Yuasa that so far after 2 years has been a solid performer.
