Snowed & rained too many times in the past decade on my authentic 59/Fifty (
100% wool) Red Sox hat....shrunk it! My size 8 hat is now a eye-bulging 7 1/2 or so. I can still wear it , but it scares little kids.
Just discovered that MLB.com has a store-wide 20% off deal going thru tomorrow night only.If you need a genuine MLB cap, this is a pretty good deal. For awhile this eve I thought I was going to have to go with a Chinese script Yankees 59/50 cap from eBay - then I remembered that MLB has a website that I used years ago.
This past fall I rec'd two comments on my helmet size from strangers:
Guy pulling my "large house with room" (house blend coffee please, with room for cream), "Your helmet probably has communication gear in it, doesn't it? It's big!"
Guy walking by me as I got on the Burgman: "That's an awfully big helmet for such a little bike."
Nolan helmets have two shell sizes, I think. My XXXL is the larger shell size. Works good for me, but looks sorta big - and matches my old XXXXL HJC in fit. However the Nolan has noticeably less aerodynamic drag than the HJC. It's a big helmet but I do not notice it - often wear it for a couple of hours after I stop for coffee, to keep my head warm on cold sunrises. No one at my coffee village pays any attention to me now as I stay ATGATT'd.
