How do you get your attachment small enough to post. I can not find any gloves that will keep my fingers warm when it is freezing. I got what I believe are snow board gloves they are the best so far I think they are more waterproof.
I use tinypic....member here told me about it.
Yes, I renamed this post for those needing hints for cold riding on their scooter.I
never found gloves that would go much more than
20mins on a 5 to 20 degree Fahrenheit day...so my family bought me a pair of battery heated glove liners made by GERBING. I wear a large pair of leather gauntlets , "WIND-TEX / OLYMPIA" over the heated liners.
Your hands do not feel toasty and warm on a hour long 20 degree Fahrenheit ride - but they do not get cold!! I have no sensation of cold hands with this combination....so I just ride and enjoy.
My HANDS were always the thing that cut short my cold winter day rides.
Always - until I wore the GERBINGs.
My cold riding gear : Leather ankle boots and long cotton sox.
SLIDER kevlar jeans with all the CE pads.
FROGGTOGG rain pants over the SLIDERs.
T-shirt
Long flannel shirt
Nylon wind-breaker
ICON armored leather jacket with the liner
OCCU-NOMIX 3-M taped Hi Viz highway worker's rain jacket with fleece liner (
BEST investment ever for the cold rides!!)
Scarf
Atleast one balaclava
NOLAN Hi Viz helmet with all the neck and chin wind-breaks
GERBING / OLYMPIA gloves combo
With this bit of kit I can stay out for at least 3 hours on a cold winter's day in Ohio (5 > 20 degrees F.)
I highly recommend these two bomber jackets. Rain proof, thus are wind proof. Heavy material, nice zip out fleece liner. Snug cuffs.
Plus these jackets come in some massive sizes so it will fit over your armored riding jacket, and any layers below that. This jacket keeps my center core warm! And they are Hi Viz both day and night - with that dayglo yellow fabric and 3-M reflective tapes sewn on the jackets.
Why not wear a Hi Viz all-weather armored motorcycle jacket?.....because the word "leather" is missing in that description. I want wind/rain protection; Hi Viz; armored leather.
