I haven't done much with the Vento. I got it running well enough to get me to and from work while waiting for my new tires on the ZX. It actually seems to run fairly well. I need to tune the transmission for the new Technigas pipe I put on. It seems to take off fairly quickly then bog out through the mid-range and pick back up when it gets into the pipe. It seems to run pretty fast top speed though! It pegs the speedo at 50mph pretty easily, not sure how accurate it is, but it almost feels as fast as my ZX! I still need to try and pull the air/fuel screw out of the carb, I think the mix needs some fine tuning. Zombie, I think you are right about the spring beneath it binding. I think I straightened out the crown from where it was bent, the bouncing at high speed is much better! It still bounces a bit, but it seems to be more of a resonance issue (possibly the front wheel not balanced) now because it only happens between about 30-40mph then it stops. I'm attributing it to being a lower quality Chinese frame, my Kymco is rock solid stable at speed! Otherwise, it's rideable, now I just need body panels and a headlight! I'm currently using my rechargeable bicycle headlight system which works really well!
