New ride alert! Got my Agility 125!
« on: February 07, 2010, 10:59:32 AM »
It's finally here!  ;D

Replacing my 2003 Peugeot Speedfight2 50cc with 20.000 miles on the clock, the
Agility 125 is exactly what the doctor ordered!

I didn't want to sacrifice any of the little Peugeot's agility (pun intended),
but needed a bit more 'oomph', especially when riding with a pillion. I think
the A125 will fit like a glove. I didn't even know it was longer/bigger then my
previous scoot until just a few days ago..

There was a 50cc Agility at my work every day, and I figured the A125 was the same
size. I had no idea the wheelbase was different, and that's a really welcome surprise  :)

Anywhu, here it is, the 2006 (bought by 1st owner in 2008) red Agility 125, mint condition,
with just 2000 miles on the clock.. with a Kappa 26L topcase (I'll probably use the 35L case
which I own too, though).

(Excuse the indoor pictures, it was dark outside, snowing, and my registration papers are just halfway done,
so, no rides before tuesday atleast :( )

It's my father in law's.
A far cry from brand new, but it's well maintained by him.

Needs some work done, but it runs and he rides it daily to work and back,
even when it snows. I'll check the mileage and post pics if doesn't mind.
I have no idea what year it is either. I think he said it'll do over 60km/h,
which is a lot faster then the ~2000 Tomos automatic I had for a while.  ;D

Yeah, I like them too, but I can't afford a new one so it'll have to wait.
The Agility 125 is just what I wanted and needed, if all goes well I'll replace it
with the Agility City after 20k miles and do it all over again..

I rather fancy the People S200 too, but we'll see.

...lol..yeah, but i bet a free-flow air filter, rejetting the carb, some lighter rollers and a stiffer torque spring would be a bit more enjoyable...

That's probably the route I would have taken some 15 years ago.. but the little A125 is
as fast as I need it to be around town, and the only thing I'll be looking to improve is it's
fuel mileage as I ride a lot and am on a very tight monthly budget.

There IS an Agility 150 available (both the old and new City R16) with about 10,5hp and
that's an option I might consider, swapping out the engine parts, but not before mine hits
at least 20.000km.

What exactly can you improve? Drop the consumption from 3.0 to 2.9 l/100 km if you are very careful? :)
