My Rides
« on: February 20, 2010, 11:25:26 PM »
I can't figure out how to get the pics in the message, but I can post links :-)

My new Xciting 500:

My 2006 Scarabeo 250 and Xciting "face to face":

And my 3 rides (back to front), my PT Cruiser, Scarabeo and Xciting 500:

That will have to do until I can figure out the proper way to get pics posted.

They do hold their own when I park next to various motorcycles in town.

RICK -- RICK ! !  !  !     Your Xciting ---  the sidestand is down while it's on the centerstand!!  Please rectify that before you do ANYTHING ELSE AT ALL !!!!   IT's a disaster waiting to happen!  I mean it.  If you've never seen what can happen, believe me you'll be picking it up off the ground!  PLEASE

The X500 won't start with the side stand down, unlike the Scarabeo. But then the sidestand on the Scarabeo is spring loaded and kicks back up when the bike is put upright.

Alright man.   I'd just hate to see that beautiful thing hurt!

Thanks for showing it to us.  I love it!

With regards to riding off with the sidestand down, I must admit I have done that and mate, don't they hit hard. lesson learned the hard way.

I used to warm my 440 LTD and Sportster on the stand, and never left the side stand down.

I wonder if there is an easy way to disable the switch that is easily reversed and won;t show up on a warranty check?

Hey rick, There is another thread under "sidestand". There wera a few ways mentioned on how to bypass the switch. Dealer would not know.

I assume you mean cheng shin on the Kymco? Those are new. I'll look into different tires when these wear out. Thanks for the Avon info.
