Before anyone can answer that question accurately, most will probably want to know how aggressively do
you ride, do you ride in rain, etc.

If you ride moderately, mostly around town, no silly lean angles.. and some racer-boy-wannabe who
grinds his knee caps on every curve recommends a tire.. and you wear it out in the middle after only
2000km, you'd think his recommendation was at fault.. but it wasn't  :)

You might wanna be a bit more specific.

That said, I've been looking at reviews for scooter tires for years now, and I've had the same
size tires on my previous scooter and it's rather hard to find a negative review on ANY brand-name
tire. So, if you fall into the 'moderate rider' category, you'd be happy with any of the standard
Michelin/Pirelli/Dunlop etc, maybe even some of the 'no-name' stuff from IRC, Maxxis/CST or Shinko.

I seriously doubt you can get worse then the stock/oem CST tires, and they're just fine when new too.

Very good point Cortez! I also was looking at pirelli, and did find several negative reviews on wear. I wound up getting Avon Strykers. So far(863km) so good! The price is fair, the profile is terrific, and the rain seems to have little effect on them. For the record I do like to lean a bit, brake hard from time to time, maybe a little dough-nut in the sandy patches. I believe they are worth looking into.

Can you confirm if the center stand is the first place to hit the road when leaned over on
both sides or something else? I'm not sure I'll be grinding it off with the CST tires, but
you never know..

If I was to lean that hard, the first thing to hit would be my cojone's. Try holding your scoot as if in a turn, and see! (both sides)

Ok, well I travel nearly 60km each day mainly open road, with a bit of town work after hours, so looking for a good wearing tyre. All weather too!
Thanks

There's just something very wrong with all this.

...i think i've found my tire of choice....

..Avon Viper Stryke....

..i ride 40+ miles a day, every day, wet, dry whatever...

..these tires just plain stick like glue...
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..
