I'm pretty sure there is a link to a service manual in the general section.

I had a problem like this with my bike, although I did have a spark, and it was good I checked the connection on the coil, from the loom they were loose so as much as the spark looked good there was very very little power to ignite the fuel. I just compressed the connectors a little, squeezed them back on and it went.

Take the plug out, and dangle it in the fuel tank (don't drop it ;D) then put it back in. You certainly should get a splutter from that.

I've got a spare engine if you need a part or 2
Scooters are designed to be thrashed, you might as well test the design out :D

Always on the top speed run ;P

^I will check my ignition again.^

I also have replaced all the fuses, plugged in a known to be working CDI and still no firing.

Should I look into the vacuum lines this thing has? There are tons of them with that stupid catalytic converter and charcoal canisters, ect.

I am also thinking about putting a new auto-choke in the carb.

Here'e the service manual   Kymco Agility 125 R16 EN   I wouldn't suspect the timing as much as a hung valve. Have you done the comp. test? I would before buying a new scoot 1 piece at a time. Been there Done that!

The Pulser coil can be tested for a short to ground going from the: blue w/yellow stripe to ground. it should read open otherwise there is no resistance test to do on it. I have 1 time seen a pulser coil fail in thirty years of twisting wrenches. The manual does have the values for testing the stator regulator ect...

Scooter has been fixed!  Any guesses what it was?   ::)

*Hint.  Very simple, but unexpected.

Simpler than that.

Originally I checked my spark plug by removing it, putting it back into the boot, and making sure it sparked when I turned the scooter over (hitting the e-start button)  Which it did.  However I just recently put in a brand new plug and it fired right up.  I guess that test is not always reliable when trying to determine if the plug is still good.

Thanks for the help everyone, this is a great forum and I will defiantly stay active as I also have a Kymco Cobra Cross 50 (Top Boy).

Well the scooter is having the same problem.   Once again I put a new plug it in and it ran for a day. Now its dead again.  It turns over fine, the old plug looks to be in great shape.  So im assuming the scooter is not running too rich or lean.

I have also put a new coil on it and it still will not spark.  This is making me think it may be the pulsar coil or maybe the CDI?  What do you guys think?

Did you eliminate the kill switch.I have had bikes do this before bad connection would work fine then nothing, would show spark, but it was too weak to fire, took it out of the loop and all works great now,If you have done that allready, the coil is cheaper to replace  ;D I don't know how to test those parts

How do I check the kill switch?

Also, I checked the ground on the coil and it is good, i need to check the + wire that leads to the coil, but where does it run to?  The pulsar coil in the stator?

Not sure how to test i just removed it from the loop, take a good look at it sometimes its obviouse. It's a free check before you have to start buying more parts, can't help you much with the rest.I would think the coil lead would go to the cdi
