Just had my variator and CDI de-restricted, and I have a max speed of 40mp/h now, wahoo
!!! What should I do now to get even more speed? Also I would like better acceleration, and scoot still has trouble getting up hills, any ideas?

You are not going to get any higher top speed without some more major upgrades, like carb and exhaust. CVT tuning will help tremendously with acceleration and hill climbing though. Lighter rollers, stiffer clutch springs, it's all a balancing act!

The CVT is the Continuously Variable Transmission. It changes "gears" by a system of roller weights and springs. You can change to lighter rollers for improved acceleration. Changing to stiffer clutch fly springs will let the engine rev higher before engaging the clutch. The contra spring helps with recovery after decell. There is tons of information on this forum about how to tune your cvt, just use the search at the top right. Otherwise, I bet you can find some good videos on youtube.
