I dont think so, the ramp plate is modified to improve pick up, I doubt it would increase top end. I do like it though.
                   hey sid, did you ever check to see the weight on your var?  it looks like black solid steel, instead of the regular aluminum!!!     could that heavy ass thing be an issue??

Nah mate, I have no idea how heavy it is, never thought about weighing it, just put it on and rode, since putting in the sliders it is back to good again.
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

you never even noticed if it was steel or aluminum??????     dont really know how MY scoot would react to steel var.          i found another var that someone here used but i dont guess that guy is around to ask about that one, it is aluminum.. he helped zombie i read

..yeah...i'd like a 2-stroker to learn on...even a sh**ty one....

i've been playing with gy6's. rebuilt my first one. its not as bad as i thought. i wanna go inside my 2 stroke but im sooooo afraid. y mess with a good thing

The two strokes are easy!  I'm more afraid to tear into a 4 stroke!  All those extra parts! :o  The most important thing when working on two strokes is doing a leak-down test after re-assembly!  I don't know how many times mine has saved my motor! ;)

 had no idea what i was doing and its still running. its just timing marks and valves. not at all bad. only thing extra i needed was a starter clutch remover tool and a steering wheel puller and a hammer if u wanna risk it for the kick starter gear
