Bar end weights?

Anyone know how heavy the stock/OEM bar-end weights on the Agility 125 are?

I could use some bigger ones, but have no idea where to look.
Ebay?

Are they all universal or..?

I don't need anything fancy, just more weight, as cheap as possible.

On the Agility, damned little, I'd say. Its "weights" are light plastic inserts, no?

The weights help to dampen sympathetic vibration/oscillation in the steering circuit.

On a number of motorcycles, depending on the suspension and steering setup and angles, when you install rear top case, the shimmy action of steering/front wheel increases if you have stock handlebar weights. Most serious top case manufacturers provide heavier weights to be mounted instead of stock ones. For example, I had original Beverly topcase and it came with heavier weights, so did Givi on Kawasaki ZR-7S,

Handlebar weights also lower vibrations transmitted from the engine onto steering wheel, especially in case of thumpers and 2-cyl bikes, thus making the ride considerably more comfortable.

However, Agility is not affected by this, especially not with 25l cases, and does not have stock weights either.

..lil plastic caps...that i no longer have due to once..getting run off the road.......then the time my scoot got knocked over at work...lost the other one...

It sure is affected by my 35L topcase, and while it's considerably less of a problem with the 26L case,
the front would still shake from time to time.. so I figured I'd add some weights..

You can try but probably you will not fix it that way and it will still shake.
I had literally half a kilo of end bar weights on Beverly and it still did not fix the shake (yet I had both top case and two hard plastic side cases).

Great.

It's interesting to see the scoot sit on it's front wheel while on the center stand without the top case, and
shift to the rear wheel as soon as I put the top case on.. even when it's empty.

I know most (all?) scooters have the front end a lot lighter then the rear, but Agility's front is so light
I'm amazed how the front tire manages to grip the road while cornering  ;D

It would probably benefit from bar end weights.. or any kind of extra weight on the front end (as low
as possible).

I'll let it be for now.. it's not a big problem with the 26L case, and 35L works too if I'm not going over
80km/h.

..my A50 front end only shakes when i am holding on with just one hand...

..wonder if bar weights would correct that....

It would help.. no one knows how much though, as it might be the front tire's fault too.

I know a number of bikes and scoots whose front end shakes/wobbles if the steering is not held tightly with both hands - new bike, no problems with steering, configuration, tires.

Their geometry is done that way and that`s it.

Most tires in this segment of the market are usually not even round.. so.. no surprise there  :(

Most touring tires, even sport touring tires are like that. You can get 1300 cc naked with the same tire curvature as on Agility 125.
