Gas tank tap
« on: March 26, 2010, 07:59:49 PM »
Hi guys, i bought my agility in bits as it was stolen recovered. I need to know if the gas tank tap has some kind of washer as mine leaks.

A picture or diagram would be great.

http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx   Just add the make model info. it will give you the exploded view for all the systems

What does it do?  Can you get to the drop down list of make and model?  Does it just not show the pic?  It may be some setting on your browser.

If i select kymco it wont give me any options in the next drop down box. If i select Yamaha it does. I have no idea why. Can anyone just look for me and tell me if it has a seal might be easier.

..in the "quick lookup box, select KYMCO, then in the "Model" box type Agility 50...then click "Quick lookup"
..every mod (action) necessitates a (reaction) mod..

I just pulled the petcock on my zx, and there is no seal/gasket inside. It is a compression/flare set up. You can try cleaning both surfaces w/ a little emory cloth or steel wool. Then a lite film of fuel proof sealer may do the trick

I just checked my spare petcock for my Zx50 and there is a rubber o-ring around the filter/screen tube that goes in first.  I think that acts as the seal.

My screen wouldn't come out. That makes more sense tho.

I got the biggest pair of pipe grips i could find and gave it an extra 1/4 turn it seems to have sealed now.. ;D
