LED Taillights?
« on: April 02, 2010, 12:03:05 AM »
Hey, thinking the factory round read indicator lights look fairly poxy and am considering some of the late model LED units. Anyone fitted any? Easy, hard, pros/cons? I reckon they would look sweeter, and wonder if the blinker box would need to be changed too otherwise they might flash too fast, due to the vlotage change.

That is exactly right Holty. There are add on modules that compensate for the amperage difference. I believe it runs around $140.00 to change all the lights, and buy the module. This site has most of the info you may need.    http://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_lights.htm#LED Turn Signals

..I have LED lamps in my rear blinkers...and as long as I run incandescent lamps in the front, the blink-speed is not affected...

Didn't they speed up just a little?
