Clock Battery
« on: April 22, 2010, 03:33:38 PM »
Anybody know the battery type used for the clock? I'd like to get one before I open headset to get to the clock. This is a really poorly designed feature. I have a windscreen and have to remove that to open headset to get to it. A royal PITA!

Perhaps a call to your local dealer may get the part #/type, for you

I replaced the batteries on my 150's clock a while back.  Unfortunately the clock was bad and the batteries did not help.....and I do not remember the size!  Otherwise love the scoot!

That was very nice of you to post that. It's an older thread but I'm sure it will help the next guy.   Welcome aboard!

Re: Clock Battery <Replacement?>

Just came across this old thread. My 2006 has a faint but still working clock. I thought the bike's battery was likely not charging adequately and didn't know the clock had it's own battery. I haven't seen anything showing how to get to it for replacement. Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks & Happy Father's Day.

On most of these bikes you have to remove the mirrors, and a few screws that go from the drivers side into the outer shell. There are also a few "tabs" along the top edge of the two 1/2's of the housings. I find a butter knife allows you to pry those tabs up. The goal is to get the front 1/2 to lay forward allowing access to the underside of the Inst. cluster.
