coolant question
« on: April 25, 2010, 08:40:52 PM »
I have a 2006 Grand Vista. I removed the Engine Coolant 4" square panel from the area right of the handlebars by loosening the single screw. All I see is a plastic tank. I see no liquid in it. The red manual (pg. 39) shows a gauge H / L but I don't see that anywhere on the scooter.

How do I know if the scooter needs coolant? Do I have to remove the old coolant first? Do I just fill it to the top with distilled water?

TIA

Yes sir you have to pay attention to that! Just copy/paste" service manuals "in the search thingy. There should be a link to the service manual. Drain/if anything, and fill/burp it. Do that, and ride it to the store you got that stuff from, and get the fluids for the rear/tranny, and the engine. I use 75:90 synth rear    20w50 synth engine. I put those in EVERYTHING I own. I found the coolant gauge H/L window. Sorry about that!
