...i broke my cam th other day....

...but this is one of the best purchases i've ever made for my scoot's performance....

.. i'm jetting at 60 degrees...had to increase the stock 95 jet up to a @ 101.5 jet right off th' bat....

..2 chops got me there...

..it's gonna be a bit lean in th' mornin's 45 degree ride to work, but i do believe i'm in the zone...

..may have to go up 1/2 to one more size....but the increase in hp is already apparent...

..i'm happy.......again...

Dang, what's the deal with the cam?  Darn, 4-strokes again! ;)
Sounds like you''re having fun with the carb!  You'll have to give a full performance update after you get some miles on it!  Some pics too! ;)

Slinger! You normally give us soo much detailed info. You explain the facts so that even a cave man could do it! Now all we get is "CARB GOOD!"? I'm thinking it is sooo good you don't want to sit around posting...

..okay so, here it is...
..this 20 mm carb is th' bomb!! (have i said that already?)
..it has a 5 position needle, with a distinctively different taper than my original carb..
..it's gradual at the bottom, then has a step in th middle, then gradual toward the top..
..the diaphram and slider are beefier, and it has a stronger spring..
..the carb's intake port is vertically oval shaped, as opposed to circular on the original..
..the main jet is TINY in comparison to my original, about half the size...
..came in at .095mm..(waaay lean) and is now at 1.02mm... (spot-on)..
..i'm at 3 rotations on the idle screw mix, and in the middle notch of the needle...
..installation was pretty much plug-n-play...

..my scoot is now quicker off the line...noticeably!!..
..which is no small feat, as a dress out around 225 lbs..
..maintained flat land speed is still variable according to the wind,(not nearly as sensitive as before tho) and edges closer toward 50 mph than before..which is my ultimate goal...in a draft, i have no problem keeping up with 45 mph traffic now...which is awesome..
..i've consistently topped out downhill at 95 kmh, with or against the wind, which i couldn't do without the blown air induction on the original carb..

..i am at the limits of my cvt's capabilities...need the over-range variator for any more top end speed...

Sounds like a great upgrade Slinger!
Very descriptive explanation of it also!
So what's next?  The BBK, over-range, reduction gears? ;) ;D
