HELP!

Okay, so i got the vise-grip clamp from home depot and i was able to get the bolt off (with a LOT of effort).

I put in the new 5g rollers and while i'm putting the cover back on, i over tighten one of the bolts and it broke!!!

Half broke off and half is stuck inside!  How do i get it out???

(On the plus side, i test rode it anyway and acceleration improvement was noticeable!)

If part of the bolt is sticking out you should be able to grab it with a pair of vise-grips and turn it out.  If not then try a left handed drill bit or some EZ-outs.

I just went to home depot on my scoot to pick up these vice-grip clamps
http://www.irwin.com/tools/locking-tools/the-original-locking-c-clamps-with-regular-tips

Will try em later, hope it works.  My main fear is breaking one of the teeths on the drive face.

..that's what I use, and you don't have to clamp extremely hard....though, i had to remove the adjusting screw completely...

..there are tools made to hold the flywheel...but I had those handy, and it just worked...

..like shaka said...

..sounds like another trip ti the HD...lol..

..get you some left-hand drrill bits....hopefully, the broken screw left a "flat" area where a drill bit could start...

...I've stripped the threads out of one hole on my scoot's cvt cover, but never broken one   ??? :o ???

..they need not be that tight...

Ah, do let me know!  I feel so much more comfortable riding with traffic with the 5g rollers.

Buy a LEFT hand twist drill bit. IF it catches the stud it will simply turn out. If not it will be bored for an easy-out
