..mine captured one, 1/16" square piece of flash...on the second oil chsnge...

Didn't see the filter in the bucket i drained the oil in, so i don't see where else it could possibly be but stuck inside.  I'll double check on my next oil change. 

My carb says CK50QT-5.

Hey my headlight is always on for some reason... Is that normal?  Today wasn't overcast or anything and its pretty bright out yet its still on.

Since we have the same carb, would it be safe to assume that if i get the same k&n filter and same main jet size as you, i'd be running a good fuel mixture?
