I read that you found some I.D numbers on top of your carb. I went back and looked at mine to see if I had simular numbers but could not find any. I e-mailed a Keihin carb distributor and he said that he did not know what jets it took and that I wold have to remove the jets first to see what type I needed.  Its odd, The markings simple say Keihin K T but the manual says I.D # PB058.

^ Guess you'll just have to read the plug?

Are you trying to replace the original with the same size ?

..the manual is just a "general" set of guidelines and info...

..there are different builds of scooters, and some things differ from year to year also...

..it's true, that you must phsyically measure out your jet to be sure what you have..

I want to know what my scoot has so I can start listing parts that I will need to tune it, jets are part of the plan. I bought it third hand, already derestricted. My next adventure will bo to remove body panels to see if the cdi was derestricted (already goes 45mph, 50 downhill) just to make sure. I will also take the CVT cover off and see what has been done in there too. Maybe I'll get lucky and have inherited  some Malossi performance parts!  :o doubt it but we'll see

...any parts other than the carburetor's jets will be pretty much the same across th' board..

..there a cpl different styles of cdi units, but i believe that '07-'09s are the same OEM...

..not to say that someone hasn't already swapped some things out...

..let us know what you find!!

Hey slinger, what size jet were you running with the free flow k&n filter before before you swapped out your carb?

..i think i settled out with a 100-101...

..i battlled 30-40 degree temperature changes from morning to afternoon here...

..aaannd, i was learning a lot about carb tuning back then too...

..i'm running a 1.03+mm jet right now, so a 100 wouldn't be out of spec too much with the stock carb on the CK50QT...

..in my own experiences....

Alright, i'll start off with the 100 then.   Maybe i can find a 1mm drill bit somewhere.

One question though, for plug readings, should i use a new one each time i change a main jet size?  Or it wouldn't matter?

Also, another question, i'll need to take off the seat and stuff to get to the main jet right?

Thanks!

..you can use a new plug each time you chop...but you can get several chops, per say, from that plug, if you run your scoot for good long, consistent rates and distances between chops...the plug will change per your adjustments...

..so, i've found....

Cool thanks.  I'm waiting on my main torque spring 1500rpm, and my fly spring set 1000, 1500, and 2000.   ;D

I think my next upgrade shall be the filter and main jet!

Then perhaps.... the exhaust!

...i wanna know what you get from the 1500 torque drive spring...

..your scoot should level out at a higher rev while slowing down, and give awesome speed recovery ability...

..i'm worried a bit by your 5 gram rollers...dunno if they're capable of letting your engine rev high enough at take-off, to be able to take advantage of the contra spring during acceleration...

..you might want to start with the 1000 fly springs...

..if you have time to experiment a bit...find out what each set will do for your scoot...

..and let us know!!....

Yes sir!  Ordered from scootertronics, don't know when it'll be here.  Hopefully soon, i'd love to get some better acceleration from take off.
