new engine?
« on: May 17, 2010, 02:10:07 PM »
hi there people is it possible to bye a new engine complete ?
The reason why is im doing a 1956 (ish) BSA dandy and am going to town on modding the frame engine the lot but i want to do some thing different so as i love my agility engine so much and its never let me down i thought i'd really do some thing special and retro fit one in the dandy. couple the engine to a very trick frame throw a air rear suspension ram in for good measure and i should have a nice show scooter that is a complete 1 off.
stuart
p.s to restore it properly i need to put in over 1 square meter of new tin so no need for those purist out there getting up set that i'm destroying a piece of history :)
I may be small but look how far i will go!!!

I think your best bet is to find a scoot that has been wrecked and pull the engine out of it.  I'm sure it may be possible to buy a new Agility engine, not sure where from though.  I know I've seen replacement 139QMB engines, but I'm pretty sure they are all Chinese.  Here's a link:  http://www.partsforscooters.com/All-Parts/50-250cc-4-stroke-Scooter-Moped-Engines

ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
