So.....here I am at the inn laws..once again w/ the cover off.  I'm not a stupid person, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to, or where to put the vise grip to get proper leverage!  Someone just call me already!  860-575-8244....PLEASE!  ;D

..those are the ones!!

..you might have to remove the adjusting screw to get them open wide enough...

..clamp them on the outside of the teeth of the flywheel, AT ITS WIDEST POINT... with the releasing lever facing down and toward the right...

..wedge the lever / handle against your foot, and pull up, counter-clockwise on the ratchet handle...

..PULL REALLY HARD!!!!

Not sure what type of 'regular' vise grips you have slinger,  ;D, but mine won't open THAT wide.....are you saying to open them up and basically clamp right on the teeth themselves?  Damnit, I wish I had done this before or that the impact wrench I had worked!  This is beyond frustrating!

Hey slinger, what do you use to hold the clutch to remove that clutch bolt?

..i got a piece of 1" X 1/4" cold roll steel bar at work...about 18" long...

..drilled a cpl of 3/8" holes that match the spacing between the first and third holes in the clutch bell...

..fastened a cpl of short bolts through the holes with nuts, so they wouldn't move around...

..just insert the bolts into two holes in the clutch bell, prop the bar against the ground, and remove the nut...

..some others have made a tool that's very similar to the tool they make for this purpose...there are pics somewhere around here..lol..

..I also made a tool to help disassemble the clutch, once it's been removed...

..any local metal fabrication shop could hook you up...

..they'd probably give you the pieces....and for a small small fee, they might even make them for you...

..just a few dollars in materials...steel is cheap...
