With EFI you should treat a 1/4 tank as E and never run it to E. FP needs fuel to cover [sloshing fuel] and cool it plus to have fuel running through it to cool it. Running low also gets all the gunk in the bottom, not good.

I have a question for everyone, are you calculating the MPG by dividing distance traveled by gallons added as per the odometer or are you dividing distance traveled by 1.6 and then dividing by fuel added.  I know this sounds confusing but my Like 200i has an odometer that reads in KM's instead of miles and according to Kymco they are all like that.

My mileage is pretty low in comparison to everyone else, but then again my bike still has under 300 km's.

I'd do the distance traveled on the odometer divided by the amount of fuel put in to fill it up. If that is "miles" on the odometer and "miles per hour" on the speedometer you'll answer will be MPG's. If  not -
The conversion formula for kpl to UK mpg is 1 kpl = 2.825 UK mpg

The conversion formula for kpl to US mpg is 1 kpl = 2.352 US mpg

Now if your gas is sold in gallons and your scoot's odometer is in KM's, well  sorry - there is NO possible way to figure this out. You'll only pull somethin' if you try.

Like the tourist who walked into a tavern in upstate Vermont one night, and asked, "Say, how do I get to New York City from here?"
The old guy playing cards at the table looked up and told him, "You can't." and went back to his card game.
There you go....

That is hilarious! I never considered the odometer was in KM. Now I dont feel so bad after doing my first oil change at "300 milles"

Thanks Stig, kind of chuckled with the Vermont joke cause I can see it happening.  My point was that according to Kymco, the speedometer on the like is in MPH but the odometer is in Kilometers.  So if you are dividing what the odometer says by the gallons added, your mileage will be 1.6 times higher than it really is.

I am due for a fill up soon, so I will double check my mileage.

In the USA Kymco has both MPH and KMH indicated on the speedometer. Top MPH, bottom KMH.

As for the odometer according to my GPS it appears to be in miles.

Got a chance to check fuel mileage and top speed on the like and I am pretty impressed.  Fuel mileage is over 60mpg and top speed is at 59mph GPS verified with 61 showing on the speedo.  As for the odometer, mine is in KM instead of miles so I need to divide my miles by 1.6, no big deal.

After reading this post, I checked my 2016 Like 200i odometer (by riding it), and it reads in km.  Which means I'm getting 78 mpg, not 125!

Do people actually trust their odometers? I verified my commute milage using a web map, then did my calculations from the pump figures.

So I do 105 miles on my commute, using about 3.6L of petrol (from the till receipt)

So I divide 105 by 3.6 - getting the miles per litre figure - 29.16 in this case.

I then multiply the miles per litre figure to get miles per UK gallon - 29.16 x 4.54.

132mpg - these are example figures though obviously!!

You've got to take care when using the different types of gallon too! :)

USA LIKE200I's have mile speedos and odometers.
The small "Km/h" on the dash refers to the small speed scale under the larger MPH scale on the dial.

This is absolutely correct I have checked the odo many times over known distances.
