Admission & apology
« on: April 17, 2016, 07:53:56 PM »
I went over the top with Kymcoco, didn't I? Guilty of taking myself way too seriously. I went beyond what this forum and its inhabitants are all about. For all that transgression, I am very regretful and this is the beginning of repentence. I hope you all can find it possible to forgive me. I will send a PM to Kymcoco for the same.

Crossbolt Karl,

No worries mate! Have stepped on myself a time or two as well. We all have.
BUT....you have helped any number of KYMCO riders so many times...and your motivation, again, was to help as well as to provide an answer for all the others who might have the same issues with their scooter in the future.

You are pretty adept with the electrical stuff, in particular, and you are easily forgiven for not always understanding that many of us are not so gifted....and are maybe too lazy  or -- as my British friends say: "Thick at two planks!" when it comes to the electrical mysteries of out scoots.

Many of us appreciate your willingness to help with most any scooter irregularity -

It is not possible to get too upset with one who is simply a big hearted scooterista - with an abundance of enthusiasm for the hobby! Takes a big person to police oneself and  to say, "Sorry!"

We who visit other 2 wheel forums know how rare and refreshing it is to read an apology.

Keep on keeping on there Crossbolt!
We're all in this together!

There are NO dumb coffee questions!!
You know those cardboard carry-out cup trays for 4 cups you get at fast food places ?? I keep one in the top case to put my coffee in from Tim Horton's or McDonalds, or my coffee houses. I put my tire patch kit bag on the other side of the cardboard tray to hold it down, and have towels and stuff in there too to keep things from banging around. The cups are not full to the max - drink some before putting in there. Double cup them to keep extra warm on very cold rides.
I do NOT like the idea of a drink in a cup holder --- scooter riders have enough to do to stay safe without messing with a drink while riding....even at a light you need to keep more alert than that. Just my 2 centimes worth.

Karl,

Admittely your words were a little harsh, but your heart was in the right place. You were thinking of the greater good for the Kymco community. It takes a big person to admit what you did and to want to make right. That is huge in my book. You have my respect.

Glad to hear everything is resolved, but it sounds and looks like I missed a good stand up fight -- on whatever thread it was.

Why fight? Just ride :)

Oh MAN you missed a  b e a u t !
Crossbolt is now permanently banned from most of Pennsylvania, 2 Canadian provinces and every east of the Mississippi !!
When they finally turned off the dash cams he'd been tazed 3 times - and by golly there he was still smiling and holding those chickens ---  if you missed it later on all three networks - try youtube : "crazed scooter man creates international border incident!"

He did have to pay for the chickens and apologize to all French speaking peoples.

He has agreed to counseling & is now working up something in French to try and get his scooter back.
Most fun I've had since I drywalled up my co-workers lunch boxes.

Your forgiven, what did you do? Never mind, I really don't care. I enjoy your contributions and that's what counts.
