Scooter seems to be running off battery only.
« on: April 19, 2016, 06:13:23 PM »
It seems that the scooter is not charging the battery while running. I can trickle charge the battery and run the scooter, starts right up. I can ride till the battery is dead, then I'm stranded. Had the voltage generator replaced last summer because I was losing engine power(rpm). That cured that issue. Any suggestions?

I assume you mean rectifier/regulator.
It might be like mine in that the stator has just had to be replaced as it was not charging while riding, and battery would go flat.
There is  a test procedure on this forum,  or internet(google) or the repair manual will explain it.
I was  a bit over whelmed by it all and just let the shop handle it, but if you are electrically inclined, go for it, and save a ton .
